Brainstorm is a manifestation of how thoughts and ideas grow and connect.  The mind works as a rhizomatic root system with consciousness branching into each other.  The modularity of the work reflects the mind's repetitive task of rumination.  Percolating thoughts connect or clash with each other and evolve into new ideas.
