Pinning and Labelling Insect Specimens - notes from an artist's perspective
relax specimens before pinning
the pin usually goes through the thorax (slightly right to the midline of the insect body)
two labels (identical in size) must be lined up parallel to the insect's body in length
top label should have the county & state (of collection), date, name of collector
bottom label should have the Order name of the insect
height of pin matters!
